Immediate Past District Governor Jeff Egan

Jeff was born and educated in Sydney. After attaining Arts and Law Degrees from Sydney University, he and his late wife PDG Anne made a "tree change" in 1980 and moved to Murwillumbah to establish a legal practice. In 1994 Jeff was accredited by the Law Society of New South Wales as a Specialist in Business Law. The practice was sold in February 2018 and Jeff retired in August 2018.
As well as establishing a legal practice, Anne and Jeff also established a family. Kate, her husband and two children live in England, Tim (a one time Rotarian and RYLA Chair for District 9640) lives in Brisbane and Ben, his wife and soon to be two children live at Mt Tambourine.
In 1980 Jeff joined another service organisation where he remained a member until 2013 when he joined the Rotary Club of Mt Warning AM of which PDG Anne was a Charter Member.
At Club level Jeff has served as President, Secretary and Foundation Chair at Mt Warning. At District level he held the position of Youth Protection Officer for 3 years and the position of Assistant Governor for Cluster 4 for 3 years. Jeff is a Major Donor to The Rotary Foundation and a Member of the Paul Harris Society.
Jeff is keen to ensure that each Member sees value in his or her Rotary membership, that they all find Rotary fun, that they continue their membership and recommend membership to others. Jeff believes that value in membership will lead to improved membership retention and will build on the growth in membership District 9640 has experienced in recent years.
Jeff resides at Tweed Heads with his partner Kaileen who is also a member of the Rotary Club of Mt Warning AM.
