Farmers are struggling and I ask you to join this appeal. We need to unite - Rotarian with Rotarian, Club with Club, and District with District. With this combined effort, we can raise the much-needed funds to help people of rural and remote areas of Australia suffering from the crippling drought.

The monies raised will be used on three fronts:
  • To aid in the awareness and prevention of Suicide
  • To cover transportation costs of much needed supplies to rural and remote areas.
  • To obtain access for Mental Health workers and Financial Counselors to aid in their awareness of people of major concern via a BUSH BBQ organized by a Rotary Club in the area.
This initiative by the Ballina-on-Richmond Rotary club will enable other Rotary clubs, individuals and like minded organisations to help in what has become a hidden disaster. If each club was able to donate $500.00, the result would make a huge difference to the lives of farmers and communities in drought stricken areas. Many farmers feel abandoned, but by collaborating, we can put hope in their hearts and let them know we are thinking and making every effort to help them.
I believe that Rotary Clubs working together can make a difference and put the smile back on
the faces of families in rural and remote areas of Australia. They have been the backbone to a prosperous country for decades. Now is the time to show we care and how we care!
Please view the attached flyer to see how you can assist in helping our fellow Australians.
