The Pacific Islands Rotary District Conference opened at Jupiter’s Broadbeach on Saturday 16th April with 170 Rotarians from District 9920.   District Governor (DG) Anne was an invitee.
The Conference opening speaker was 12 year old Mac Millar from Brisbane seen here with DG Anne. Mac loves to play football and has made it his mission to collect footballs and send them to refugee kids in Jordon, Syria, Afghanistan, Somalia, Nauru and around the world to build good will and peace.
So far he has collected over 10,000 footballs and sent them abroad to conflict zones with the help of Rotary Clubs and Australian United Nations (UN) peace keeping forces. He made an inspiring presentation to the conference.
