The annual National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) selection day was held at Bond University on Sunday August 6.
Thirty-four students nominated for the twenty-four places available, and a team of around thirty Rotarians and Rotaractors, assisted by five past NYSF awardees carried out the selection interviews.
The successful students were advised of their acceptance, and in many cases the difference between selection and not is a very small difference.
The students who missed out may still have an opportunity to attend NYSF2018 as we have been advised some district may not fill their quota, allowing more to go from our district.
A big day for all involved, stressful for both students and Rotarians.
Pictured are the twenty-four happy candidates selected to attend NYSF2018.
